Sal Mun, Partner
Prior to co-founding Valorum Capital Partners, Sal was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where he led teams primarily advising on transactions, including but not limited to pre-transaction due diligence, separations / divestitures / spin-offs, IPO preparation, post-merger integrations, and joint ventures. He has a strong background in preparing for, evaluating, and executing M&A transactions.
Sal joined McKinsey from The Sterling Group, a middle market private equity firm, where he was part of the deal team. In his role, Sal evaluated portfolio deals ranging from $100M to $700M in the industrials, manufacturing, and distribution spaces. Prior to joining The Sterling Group, Sal gained experience at other consulting firms, including LEK Consulting and ZS.
Sal received an MBA from INSEAD in France / Singapore and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
